(Genesis 1:1) In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
As one begins to read Genesis 1:1, one must ask the question, “In whose beginning?” This question leads one to consider the vastness of God, for it is not God’s beginning, but man’s. This is the beginning of mankind, and the beginning of, as I like to call it, the human realm. Genesis 1:1 speaks to the beginning of the universe, the planets and stars all about earth; it's creatures, and human beings.
